Using Principal Component Analysis to Assess Water Quality from the Landing Stages in Coastal Region

نویسندگان

چکیده

Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to comprehensively evaluate the relationship between physicochemical and bacteriological parameters of water on banks Wouri. At each sampling station, focused Water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, CO2, electrical conductivity, suspended solids, nitrates, ammonium ions, orthophosphates, color, salinity, turbidity. The consisted isolation heterotrophic aerobe bacteria (HAB), faecal bacteria, some pathogenic bacteria. PCA showed that two factorial axes F1 (49.48%) F2 (25.18%) explained 74.67% total inertia. Suspended Solids, conductivity color are significantly positively correlated with other also axis. HAB, Shigellae, CO2 salinity and, negatively axis previous group variables. discriminates in negative coordinates Youpwe 1 2 stations, characterized by a high content low oxygenation. There is concentration such as coliforms Salmonella. calculation FC/FS ratio reflects exclusively contamination animal origin all sampled stations.

Application of Principal Component Analysis in Surface Water Quality Monitoring

Surface water systems such as rivers, lakes and ground water are affected by the natural processes such as erosion of minerals and dissolution of nutrients from the overlying rocks as well as anthropogenic influences from urban, industrial and agricultural activities. These degradation of surface water quality resulted in altered species composition and decreased overall health of aquatic commu...

Internal Traits of Eggs and Their Relationship to Shank Feathering in Chicken Using Principal Component Analysis

Chicken eggs represent an important source of protein to the growing human population and also supply repositories of unique genes that could be used worldwide. The inheritance of shank feathering trait is dominant upon non-feathering shank trait in chicken which is based on two factors: pti-1L and pti-1B that are located on Chromosomes 13, 15, and 24. Using 185 fertile eggs collected from two ...

Modelling of some soil physical quality indicators using hybrid algorithm principal component analysis - artificial neural network

One of the important issues in the analysis of soils is to evaluate their features. In estimation of the hardly available properties, it seems the using of Data mining is appropriate. Therefore, the modelling of some soil quality indicators, using some of the early features of soil which have been proved by some researchers, have been considered. For this purpose, 140 disturbed and 140 undistur...

A Principal Component Analysis of Acoustic Emission Signals from a Landing Gear Component

Acoustic emission monitoring was completed on a painted aerospace grade steel landing gear component undergoing fatigue loading until rupture. A post-test linear location analysis of the collected signals revealed eleven groups where high activity (greater than 2000 hits) occurred within a defined location, three of which corresponded in location to the position of fracture and final rupture of...

Development of Arab Water Sustainability Index Using Principal Component Analysis

The growing interest in the use of indices is closely connected to the increasing complexity of policy problems and the amount of available data. In the water sector, beyond their face value, indices can provide various types of information: description, communication, assessment, showing trends and predicting the future. Because the Arab world is the most water-scarce part of the world, most o...
